Biography
Shahiran Ibrahim presently holds the post of ‘Partner’ in LYTAG Law LLP. He joined on October 2022.
He was called to the Singapore Bar in 1995, having graduated from the School of Law, National University of Singapore in 1994. He has in practice, as a lawyer (ie Advocate & Solicitor) since 1995.
His early years (ie 1995 to 2000) were spent predominantly in litigating Contract, Commercial, Shipping/Admiralty & Construction disputes. However, since the 2000, he expanded his area of practice into Family Law, Probate/Estate matters. To be clear, he no longer practices Admiralty matters.
On the subject of adoptions, Mr. Ibrahim is most active and currently assisting more than 2 dozen families with their desire to adopt a child. He was called to the Singapore Bar in 1995, practicing as a Litigation and Family lawyer. He has extensive experience in Divorce matters, the application for Mental Capacity Orders (i.e. the ‘MCA Order’ and formerly known as the Committee of Person’s Order) and Estate & Inheritance (i.e. both administrative and contentious) matters, acquired throughout his extensive legal career.
Shahiran started his practice in the area of Adoption some 10 years ago. He was formerly in the law firm of AsiaLaw Corporation (i.e. 2002 to September 2022), where he also served as a Director. He is currently a Partner in our firm of Practice.
Over the years, Shah (as he is most commonly called) & his team has easily drafted hundreds of Wills, obtained Estate Grant of Probate & Letters of Administration, MCA Orders & Orders relating to Divorce & Divorce Ancillary’s’.
Mr. Ibrahim has had more than 25 years of experience in the areas of Law mentioned below. He has litigated in the both the Subordinate and High Court level, conducting trials, hearings and mediation extensively. He has excellent knowledge and experience to guide you and represent your legal interest in the areas of specialisation:
a. Landlord & Tenant, Real Property Disputes;
This area of Law refers to the issues relating to the purchase and/or renting out of homes and commercial property. Mr. Ibrahim has given seminars to various Property Realtors for their ongoing professional study programs. If you are a Landlord seeking redress from a ‘naughty’ tenant or a tenant seeking to protect yourself against the Landlord, Mr. Ibrahim can be of assistance.
b. Contract & Commercial Disputes;

c. Inheritance Law, Probate & Administration, Trusts & Estate Disputes;
Mr. Ibrahim’s practice covers the needs of family’s and person’s in dealing with the legal issues that arise from the death of loved ones and members of the family. On another note, Mr. Ibrahim also handles disputes, litigation and trials of such matters. Such disputes arise from family members arguing and/or fighting over assets and right(s) to inherit.
